give potential to move smoothly, with confidence and precision

***jerky movements - our proprioceptive ability can be affected as a result of injury/restrictions/trauma

*** if we didn’t have proprioceptors we woudn’t be able to move safely or effectively in our environment, it would make movement and everyday activities impossible
